PMU & Microblading

Do you want to reach your Browgoals and wake up with full brow, but not ready for a permanent tattoo? Then you may consider Microblading! Microblading is a form of a tattoo artistry, where the pigment is implanted under your skin with a manual handheld applicator as opposed to an abrasive tattooing machine. The drawn hairstrokes imitate your natural hairs in the brows.

Is this for me?

• Are you pencilling your eyebrows in every day?

• Maybe you dream of looking natural and put together even when you wake up, relax on holidays or exercise.

• The final look is adapted to your hair colour, skin tone and the direction of your eyebrow hair growth.

• Your face will look more youthful and brighter while you beam with confidence.

Procedure

• First we consult with our clients about their wishes and evaluate the condition of eyebrows.

• Then we will draw and correct the shape of the eyebrow until you are fully satisfied with the results.

• We will take photographs of the eyebrows and check their symmetry, digitally.

• Then we carefully select the color of the pigment which will match your hair color and skin tone.

• The procedure is almost painless and a numbing cream will be applied. The redness disappears in a day.

• This procedure can take from 1,5 to 2 hours.

FAQ

Is a blade being used to perform the microblading tattoo procedure?

Microblading is performed with a grouping or configuration of needles affixed to a handle to manually create lines that resemble eyebrow hairs.

Why does microblading not last as long as other eyebrow tattooing techniques?

This is simply because a much smaller amount of pigment is inserted (tattooed) into the skin as compared to fully or solidly filled eyebrow tattoos.

How long can I expect it to last?

The pigment used in microblading is semi-permanent and can last between 1-3 years. The pigment will begin to fade within 12 months. In order to keep your brows looking fresh, a touch up is recommended every 12 months to 24 months maximum.

Can an aesthetician guarantee her work?

A guarantee should never be promised in this industry due to many contributing factors outside of our control. One’s skin type, skin undertones, skin texture, skin regimen and medications are just a few. Your face is important to us and we are extremely experienced and qualified in the art of cosmetic pigmentation. We can guarantee that we will make every effort to reach your desired cosmetic goals but again, there are no guarantees in this industry.

Can you micro blade over an existing brow tattoo?

Microblading can be done over an existing brow tattoo, however the old tattoo must be significantly faded for the hair strokes to show through and look natural. Please advise if you have an existing tattoo schedule eyebrow shaping session with microblading consultation to determine if you are a candidate for this procedure.

For clients that choose a softer look and lighter color shade initially or those who did not follow the after care instructions properly may require more frequent touch ups.

Which factors cause your microbladed brow tattoo fade faster?

• Iron deficiency
• Sun exposure
• Exfoliants
• Strong immune systems
• Exposure to salt water
• Smoking

Are Semi-Permanent Eyebrows deemed permanent?

Technically, semi-permanent micro-pigmentation is considered permanent because the colour is implanted into the upper dermal layer of the skin and cannot be washed off. However, the pigment is implanted more superficially than a traditional tattoo, so it naturally fades over time.

Does the application hurt?

We take every precaution necessary to ensure the microblading procedure is as pain free as possible. A strong topical anaesthetic cream is used prior to and during the procedure to keep you as comfortable as possible. Some clients find the procedure a little uncomfortable while others report no discomfort at all.

How long is the recovery or healing time?

Immediately after your microblading procedure and in the first 10 days, your brows will appear significantly darker and defined than perhaps your desired look. It may continue to get darker over the next few days as scabs begin to form, however this is not an accurate indication of the finished and healed result.

30-50% of your brow color will fade as the scabs fall off within 7-10 days. In some cases, the scabs may take longer to heal and fall off. DO NOT PICK YOUR SCABS. The pigment is within the scab and you do not want to pull any pigment out of your skin prematurely. We all heal differently and what works on one client may not be effective on another so please do not compare your results.

The complete healing process takes approximately 6 weeks.

How do you choose a colour?

We choose a colour together by applying small amounts of different coloured pigments to the skin near to your brows and selecting the best match for your skin tone, features and personal preference. As a rule of thumb, we closely match the color of your brow hair rather than your current hair color for the most natural results.

Why does microblading not last as long as other eyebrow tattooing techniques?

This is simply because a much smaller amount of pigment is inserted (tattooed) into the skin as compared to fully or solidly filled eyebrow tattoos.
